· by · Product News

iHound Software announced the immediate availability of iHound 3.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch on Thursday. The new version of the lost or stolen device tracker added the ability to report its current location when running in the background.

iHound includes the ability to track multiple iOS-based devices, can auto-launch when the device is turned on, supports pushing messages and alarms to tracked devices, and soon will support tracking Android OS-based devices. It also lets users print tracking reports and control tracking settings from a Web-based interface.

iHound 3.0 is priced at US$3.99 and includes three months of service. Tracking subscriptions cost $1 per month. The app is available for download at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
