IK Multimedia announced Thursday the release of AmpliTube 2.2 for iPhone and iPad. The update for the guitar and bass amp and effects modeling software adds five vocal effects as options for in-app purchase. The update also includes built in features that allow users to play music back with the vocals and/or lead guitar track removed for your practicing convenience, as well as new preset features.
The new vocal effects include Choir (a 3-part harmonizer), Morph (a pitch and formant shifter), Pitch Fix (an automatic tuner for correction or production effects), Double (a voice doubler) and De-Esser.
The company said that presets are now stored in a folder-panel system to make them easier to find and activate. There are also favorites with ten banks each for storing the last 40 presets you have made.
AmpliTube is priced at US$19.99/€15.99 (the iPad version is priced the same), a price that includes the original built-in amps and models. The new vocal effects are prices at $4.99/€3.99, or in a bundle for $9.99/€7.99.
