IK Multimedia announced Wednesday "iPDJ," a live DJ battle to be fought between three DJs on their iPhones and iPods using iPhone DJ apps from the company. The event will be held November 20th, in a Fort Lauderdale nightclub called Revolution LIVE, and feature DJ Chris Domingo, DJ Scratch-D from Dynamix II and DJ Speechless.

The DJs will use GrooveMaker apps from IK Multimedia, apps that allow users to mix and spin music as DJs, including GrooveMaker D'n'B, GrooveMaker House, and GrooveMaker Electro.

We don’t often announce parties, unless it’s our own Cirque du Mac extravaganza, but this is both a brilliant marketing move and very cool demonstration of the iPhone’s capabilities at the same time.

So, if you’re in Fort Lauderdale, let us know how it goes!

Cool…I’m going to that!
