iKlip MINI: Microphone Stand Clip for iPhone

IK Multimedia announced Friday the iKlip MINI. A companion product to the original iKlip for iPad, the iKlip MINI is a clip for iPhone and iPod touch that allows you to attach your device to a microphone stand.

The device is made out of plastic and the company said it will hold all iPhone and iPod touch models. It is designed in such a way that all of the iPhone’s buttons and ports are accessible.

iKlip MINI ships in August with a retail price of US$39.99/€29.99 (plus VAT).

I’ve used iKlip for iPad on stage, and it’s terrific. I think iPad makes for a far, far better on-stage device because of its larger screen, but if the iPhone is your device of choice, it should work well.

I’m curious how an iPhone/iPod Touch would be used in a presentation.

Can it be used with a Keynote (software) presentation? Wirelessly? Or as a remote for Keynote on a Mac?

And won’t it auto shut-down while you talk, and have to be unlocked/logged in constantly?

Anyone?
