iLife ‘09 Ships Jan 27

iLife '09, Apple's creativity application suite, is set to ship on Tuesday, January 27. Phil Schiller, Apple's vice president of world wide product marketing, introduced iLife '09 during his keynote presentation at Macworld Expo 2009.

The new version of iLife will include updated versions of iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand. The new version of iPhoto adds geo-tagging support, face recognition and improved Facebook support. iMovie now includes video stabilization, a new precision editor, animated maps, and more. The new version of GarageBand adds tutorials showing how to play piano and guitar with artists such as Sara Bareilles, John Fogerty, Norah Jones and Sting.

iLife '09 includes iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, GarageBand and iWeb. It is priced at US$79. Customers that purchased a new Mac on or after January 6, 2009, are eligible for a $9.95 upgrade to the new version.
