Instagram Update Improves Facebook Support

· by · Product News

Instagram 2.5 for the iPhone and iPod touch hit the App Store Tuesday, bringing with it improved support for Facebook. Facebook recently purchased Instagram, so it isn’t any surprise that the app is getting more Facebook-specific features.

The new Facebook support in Instagram lets users share likes back to their Facebook timeline.

Version 2.5 also replaced the Popular tab with an Explore tab. The new feature lets users search for other people that use Instagram and search for tags, improved commenting, auto-completes searches based on who you follow, improved overall performance, and gained several interface refinements.

Instagram is an online photo sharing service. The app is available as a free download at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
