· by · Product News

Instapaper for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch received a welcome update this week that added the ability to send articles to OmniFocus as well as QuickReader. Instapaper is marco Arment’s app that acts as a front end to his Instapaper service for tagging Web pages for later viewing.

Version 2.3 also added the ability to auto-switch to dark viewing mode based on sunset time for your current location, improved article update speed for iPad users, added the ability to directly open articles in Safari instead of the built-in browser, added the ability to add “i” to the beginning of URLs in Safari to add Web pages to Instapaper, fixed several bugs, and more.

Instapaper 2.3 is priced at US$4.99 and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
