Internal Docs: Apple Investigating MacBook Air Display Problems

Apple is investigating a problem associated with its brand new 13” MacBook Air, according to leaked documents published by Boy Genius Reports. The problems concern a problem where some Air displays flicker or show a horizontal line of varying colors when the device is awakened from sleep.

The documents are dated October 27th, and if legitimate, say that the issue will be addressed in an upcoming software update, though the company’s official position is that, “Apple is aware of the issue and working on a solution.”

The documents also show that in the meanwhile the company is recommending customers who experience the problem, “put the computer to sleep by closing the lid, wait 10 seconds, then open the lid to awaken the computer.”

Doing so will force the display to power cycle, which corrects the issue.
