International iPad Pre-orders Arriving Early

Apple will begin selling the iPad outside the United States on Friday, May 28, but some customers that pre-ordered their multimedia tablet are getting their deliveries a day early. So far, reports of early iPad deliveries are coming in from the U.K. and Italy.

Apple began taking pre-orders for the iPad in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K. on May 10 for delivery on May 28.

The iPad is Apple’s new multimedia tablet device. It includes a 9.7-inch multi-touch display, runs iPhone OS, supports most iPhone apps, includes movie and music playback along with an ebook reader, offers built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, and some models are available with 3G wireless data access, too.

Apple plans to release the iPad in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore in July.

The iPad was released in the U.S. on April 3 and, pre-order deliveries were held until the official iPad launch day.

Here in Spain, I received my iPad yesterday (see photos of this momentous occasion), in the afternoon of 27 May. AM I too old to be in love again?
