A small, invitation-only memorial service for Steve Jobs will be held this Sunday evening on the Stanford University campus. The Wall Street Journal reported that leaders from Silicon Valley, other VIPs, and friends have already received their invitations and been asked to RSVP to Emerson Collective, a philanthropic organization headed by Laurene Powell Jobs, Steve’s wife.
A private funeral for Steve Jobs was held on October 7th, and another memorial service for Apple employees will take place on the Cupertino campus on October 19th.
In addition, California governor Jerry Brown tweeted this evening that Sunday would also be declared Steve Jobs Day in the State of California.
