iOS 7: Changing Siri's Voice

Changing Siri's voiceSiri's pretty cool because it lets you talk to your iPhone, iPad, or iPhone iPod touch to issue commands, but what if you don't like the gender of the default voice Siri uses when it replies? That's not a problem in iOS 7 because you can switch Siri's gender between female and male with just a couple screen taps.

In the United States, Siri's voice is female by default. To change the voice to male, do this:

  • Tap Settings
  • Tap General
  • Tap Siri
  • Select Voice Gender, then choose either Male or Female

That's all there is to it. You can switch Siri's gender any time you want; She -- or he -- doesn't mind.

Why would you want to change the gender of Siri's voice, you ask? Maybe you can understand one voice better than the other, or if you hang out with a lot of Siri users it can make your iPhone's voice easier to pick out.
