The new magazine feature gives iPad users access to over 400 Kindle magazines and newspapers as single purchases or subscriptions.

The version 2.9 update also added suport for emailing to Send-to-Kindle addresses on all iOS devices, the ability to open PDFs from Mail or Mobile Safari, and a new library organizer.

Kindle 2.9 is free and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
