iPad Pro Coming in Early November

Apple said the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil stylus will ship in November, which typically means the end of the month. This time, however, it sounds like we'll get Apple's jumbo iPad right at the beginning of the month.

Sources in China speaking with Macotakara (english translation) claim Apple plans to release the new iPad in the first week of the month, which most likely means Friday, November 6th. Macotakara has a mixed record with its predictions, but gets the details right just often enough to have us penciling in the date on our calendars.

The iPad Pro was unveiled during a September media event. It sports a 12.9-inch display with a 2732 x 2048 resolution. That makes it the largest iPad Apple has designed. Apple is offering a keyboard case and pressure sensitive stylus as accessories, but unlike Microsoft's Surface tablet, the iPad Pro shouldn't feel hobbled without them.

An early November launch makes sense because that would get Apple's new iPad model into stores for the holiday buying season.

Pricing for the iPad Pro costs US$799 for the 32 GB Wi-Fi model, $949 for the 128 GB Wi-Fi model, and tops out at $1,079 for the 128 GB Wi-Fi plus cellular model.
