iPad 2 Images Leaked Ahead of Launch Event

· by · News

Apple’s second generation will most likely be unveiled during a special media event Wednesday morning at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco, and DGtle claims to have photos of exactly what will be shown off.

The photos show a substantially thinner iPad with tapered edges, front and rear-facing cameras, a larger speaker grill, and the same dock connector found on the first generation model. The photos don’t show a USB port or an SD card slot, although the wireless data antenna cover in one photo is white, hinting that the next iPad may be available in more than just black.

Second gen iPad. Maybe. This could be the second gen iPad

The full list of photos is available at the DGtle Web site. Until Apple actually shows off the new iPad model, however, the photos shouldn’t be taken as legit.

Apple will kick off its media event at 10 AM pacific time, and the company’s online store is currently unavailable hinting that the new iPad will be available today, or at least available for pre-order after the media event wraps up.
