Wired Magazine’s list of the ten most significant gadgets for 2010 is out, and Apple’s iPad is sitting squarely in the top spot. The iPhone 4 and MacBook Air are there, too, making Apple the only company with three products on the list.
“Thanks to Apple’s iPad, 2010 was the year of the tablet. The 9.7-inch touchscreen wonder created a brand-new product category that made digital content more attractive than ever,” Wired said.
The iPad is Apple’s multimedia tablet device that runs iOS, just like the iPhone and iPod touch. It includes built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, an ebook reader app and Apple’s own iBookstore, and more.
The iPhone 4 took the number six spot on the list, and the recently redesigned MacBOok Air followed behind in the number seven spot.
Berkley Bionics eLEGS took the second place slot, followed by Microsoft’s Kinect, the Samsung Focus with Windows Phone 7, and Sprint EVO 4G. The Samsung Galaxy Tab, Canon S95 and Kindle 3 rounded out the last three spots on the list.
