iPhone Dev Team Releases Untethered iOS 4.3.2 Jailbreak

· by · News

The iPhone Dev Team released a new update for the redsn0w tool for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad that adds untethered jailbreak support. Jailbreaking is the process of hacking an iOS 4.3.2 device so third-party apps that aren’t available through Apple’s App Store can be installed.

Adding untethered jailbreak support for iOS 4.3.2 means users won’t have to connect their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to their computer via USB every time they reboot.

The new redsn0w 0.9.6rc14 build supports the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, third and fourth generation iPod touch, and the original iPad.

Apple doesn’t support jailbreaking and may not honor warranties for jailbroken devices. Jailbreaking can potentially cause stability and security problems, too, so don’t hack your iPhone or iPod touch unless you know what you’re doing.
