iPhone Gets Spotify Music Subscription Service

· by · Product News

Europe's Spotify online music subscription service found an unexpected partner when Apple approved the company's application for the iPhone and iPod touch on Monday. The app lets Spotify subscribers listen to music through the service even when they are away from their computer.

Spotify Premium subscribers in Finland, France, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the U.K. can take advantage of the iPhone and iPod touch application. The app isn't, however, available in the U.S. because Spotify subscriptions aren't available in the country.

The Spotify app is free and available at Apple's iTunes-based App Store in several countries including the U.K.
