Steampunk lovers rejoice: Etsy is offering the gorgeous hand-made fully functional iPhone dock you can see in the figure below for US$350. The iRetrophone marries steampunk aesthetics to a modern, and it includes USB charging and docking, as well as a functioning handset that you can use to make your phone calls.
The iRetrophone is hand-sculpted and hand-cast in urethane resin, and the base is a half-inch thick for stability. It is designed to work with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS , and iPhone 4. It docks at the bottom, with the cable sliding down into the housing, as you can in the second image.

How mouth-wateringly cool is this thing? It’s so awesome, I’d like three: One for the kitchen, one for my desk, and one for the car that I’d then be “forced” to carry around with me lest it get stolen.
“What? Oh this? It’s just my iPhone dock. Pretty cool, huh?”
I really like the look, but I am afraid that future iPhone might not fit. Probably not too much of a concern, if anything iPhones will get smaller and thinner, but ya never know what Apple has in the works.
I guess you’re right Sir. Harry. Here is a leaked picture of the iPhone5
This is cool, but unless this is a newly released model, it definitely isn’t something new. I remember reading about this ‘dock’ at least a couple of months ago. Was it just not for sale until now, or something?
Shhh…..Turns out Jeff covered it back in July, but I didn’t realize that. Don’t tell anyone!
Normally we’d delete double coverage but A.) This thing is massively cool, and B.) These pics are different from the ones Jeff found!

This steampunk MacMini has also been around a while, but it is worth a second look
Mu lhps err sild.
I agree that this thing is steeped in geeky character and style, and I would own one if I could really justify blowing $350 on a really cool looking block of resin. Unfortunately, I don’t own any stock in Apple, or anything like that.
I see that they solved the antenna issue
Very funny GeoDuck
