iPhoto Update Fixes Merged Events Issue

Apple released iPhoto 9.1.3 late on Wednesday. The update for the Mac OS X photo manager and image editor application addressed an issue that caused some merged events to split apart on the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.

According to Apple’s slim release notes, “This update fixes a problem that could cause some events merged in iPhoto to be split back into multiple events on iOS devices after being synced.”

iPhoto 11 is part of Apple’s iLife 11 creativity app suite that also includes iMovie, GarageBand, iWeb and iDVD. The suite is included with new Macs, and is also available for purchase for US$49.

The iPhoto 9.1.3 update is free and available via Apple’s Software Update application, or as a downloadable installer at the Apple Support Web site.
