Is That the Universe In Your Pocket?

· by · Product News

We have something space lovers will be happy to see, an app from The American Museum of Natural History called Cosmic Discoveries. The app features 1,000 images of the cosmos for your iPhone.

The Museum has used the images to form a single mosaic of Saturn, as you can see in the image below. You can pinch and zoom in on the mosaic until any individual image fills your iPhone’s screen, or simply double tap to take the center most image on your screen full screen.

Each image has varying degrees of information, from a title, to its creator, to a full description, and the images are made up of both photos and artist creations.

Cosmic Discoveries is a free download, and is available now from the App Store.
