iStopMotion 3 for Mac Adds iPhone Camera Support

Boinx announced the immediate availability of iStopMotion 3 for the Mac on Wednesday. The new version of the stop motion animation and time lapse video app added support for remote controlling Apple’s iPhone as a camera.

Along with the ability to use the iPhone as a remote camera, version 3 also supports recording directly from the iPad camera, includes MacBook Pro retina display support, offers an updated user interface, includes Final Cut Pro X support, and is OS X Mountain Lion compatible.

With the release of iStopMotion 3, Boinx also consolidated its standard and US$499.99 pro version into a single app.

iStopMotion 3 is priced at US$29.99 through August 31, then will cost $49.99. It is available via Apple’s Mac App Store and as a download through the Boinx website.
