iTunes U for iOS Improves Note Taking, More

Apple released iTunes U 1.2 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on Wednesday. The update for the iTunes education app for viewing online classes improved note taking when viewing or listening to lectures.

The 1.2 update also added the ability to search within in posts, assignments, notes and materials in any course where users have a subscription. The update also improved course sharing through Mail, Messages and Twitter. 

iTunes U is Apple’s iTunes-based service for viewing lectures and courses from educational institutions. The service offers more than 500,000 videos, books and other resources from schools and libraries around the world.

iTunes U is free and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
