iTunes Updated to 9.0.2 with Apple TV 3.0 Support, Grid View Background Option

Apple updated iTunes to version 9.0.2 Thursday, up update that, "adds support for Apple TV software version 3.0, adds an option for a dark background for Grid View, and improves support for accessibility."

The update is a 92.8MB download through Software Update in Mac OS X. Windows users can access the update through the Apple Update utility in iTunes.

What were they thinking when they changed the grid background to white? Ok, now Apple have responded to the mass of negative feedback and restored the option of a dark grid background.

However, they create a grey box round each icon, presumably to accommodate the subtle shadow applied to the icons, yet this box doesn’t match the background. The background is RGB 40/41/52, while the box shades from 38/38/38. It looks incredibly amateurish. Is this really the best the worlds most prestigious computer company can come up with?
