The redesigned UP looks like the original, the new model tracks your movement and activity throughout the day, logs what you eat, tracks your mood, monitors your sleep patterns, and learns from your activities to present personalized information and reports. The new UP is also overcomes the water resistance issues of the original and is more flexible and durable, making the internal electronics less likely to break.

The wristband includes a built-in USB rechargeable battery and syncs with your iPhone via the headphone jack. The UP app is available for the iPhone 3GS and newer, third generation and newer iPod touch, and iPad but doesn't include an iPad-native interface. The UP wristband is available in small, medium and large sizes, and several colors: Onyx, Mint Green, Light Grey, Blue, Navy Blue, Red, Orange, and Hunter Green.

The Jawbone UP is priced at US$129, and the companion iOS app is free and available at Apple's iTunes-based App Store.

To clarify, the band only syncs with your phone via the 3.5mm headphone jack, NOT your computer.  The USB connection is only for charging your band (about every 10 days).
