There has been a big backlash towards the new Adobe strategy, notably from the photographic community. The on-line petition to senior management (link below) has now reached over 11,000 signatures.

Being forced into a lifetime of subscriptions yet never having ownership of the software is ridiculous and only seems to benefit Adobe and big business users.

It’s also anti-competitive. Consumers could previously buy from Amazon or Costco who were free to set their own prices.
