Jeff Gamet Discusses Technology in Education on MacJury

· by · TMO Appearances

The Mac Observer’s Jeff Gamet joined MacJury host Chuck Joiner and several other guests on the MacJury podcast to talk about the current state of technology in education and Apple’s place in the educational market.

The podcast panel was included Erik Bernskiold from Bernskiold Media, Pat Fauquet from MacMouseCalls, Skitch’s Keith Lang, and Julio Ojeda-Zapata from the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The group discussed what tech is going to school with students, how educational institutions are embracing (or not) laptops, iPhones, iPods and iPads, and are schools keeping up with the pace of change in the outside world, or is education establishment stuck in the past. The group also took a look at hardware access and availability in schools, textbooks versus tech, the wisdom of funding allocations, the U.S. education market compared to other places in the world, and more.

MacJury #1020, Back-To-School Tech – Macs, iPads and Today’s Changing Educational Environment, is available as a free download in MP3 format at the MacJury Web site.
