Kindle for iPad Adds Two Columns in Landscape

· by · Product News

Amazon updated its Kindle app for iOS devices Tuesday to version 2.3. The update adds a two column view when your iPad is in landscape mode, as well as other new features. Amazon’s Kindle software for iOS allows users to read their Kindle content on iPads, iPod touches, and iPads.

Kindle release notes:

  • Books display in two columns when reading in landscape orientation on iPad
  • Book Extras including character lists, plot summaries, and series information are available for many popular books. Book Extras are powered by the Shelfari.com community and can be accessed from the Go To menu while reading.
  • Bug fixes that improve app stability

The Kindle app (and its update) is free on the App Store.
