Mac Reeder Beta Fixes Syncing Issues, More

A new beta version of Reeder for the Mac rolled out on Friday with fixes for several issues including RSS feed syncing. The application is a Mac OS X version of the popular iPhone and iPad RSS news reader app.

The latest beta build now defaults to the standard view option for the Subscriptions list, improved memory management, added button tool tips, and more.

The Reeder beta for Mac OS X

Reeder for the Mac supports Google Reader account syncing, just like its iOS cousins, along with an interface that sports an iPad-like feel. Since Reeder for the Mac is in an early public beta phase, its feature set isn’t complete yet. Searching, downloads and feed management, for example, are currently missing in action.

Gloria, the developers behind Reeder, aren’t saying yet when they plan to release a final version will ship or how much it will cost. The public beta is available as a free download at the made@gloria Web site.
