Virtual Programming on Friday published the Mac version of A Vampyre Story, a funny point-and-click adventure game written by Bill Tiller, who was responsible for such previous humor-filled games as The Curse of Monkey Island.

Players guide opera singer Mona De Lafitte as she tries to escape from her captor, vampire Baron Shrowdy von Kiefer, and leave Draxsylvania for Paris, where she hopes to star at the Paris Opera. Mona is accompanied by a bat named Froderick, who helps her come to terms with the fact that she is now a vampire, complete with new powers that will assist her in solving puzzles. Along the way, she meets over 20 characters spread across more than 30 locations.

Pricing is US$29.95. System requirements call for Mac OS X version 10.4.11, a 1.33GHz Intel or PowerPC G4 processor, 512MB RAM, 64MB of video RAM, and 3GB of hard drive space.
