Manage Landscape Watering with Sprinkler Times

Garden Apps announced the immediate availability of Sprinkler Times on Friday. The iPhone, iPod touch and iPad app tracks landscaping irrigation needs based on seasons, location and automated sprinkler system.

Users enter information about where they live, the types of plants the need to water, the type of sprinklers they use, what kind of soil is in their yard, and whether or not plants are in direct sunlight. The app then builds watering schedules users can program into their automated sprinkler systems to cut down on wasted water.

The company claims its schedules can save several hundred gallons of water per year.

Sprinkler Times is free and and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store. Additional features can be unlocked in-app for US$5.99.
