Markzware announced the immediate availability of MarkzTools 8 for QuarkXpress 8 on Tuesday. The new version of MarkzTools helps prevent corrupted documents in QuarkXPress 8, and also includes several other tools.
MarkzTools also includes a Scavenge Text option that extracts the text from irreparably damaged documents, can create gray scale image previews for color images, converts QuarkXPress 8 documents to version 6 or version 4, and lets QuarkXPress 8 open version 4 or 6 documents without first opening and re-saving in earlier QuarkXPress versions.
MarkzTools 8 is priced at US$199, and upgrades cost $99 for MarkzTools 6 and 7 users.
