metaobjects Updates Booklet Printing Utility With New Engine January 26th, 2004 at 2:00 PM - News by Mike Washlesky metaobject has released an update for Mac users, BookLightning 1.1. BookLightning is a utility designed for PDF based booklet printing. The update features the latest EGOS engine and Panther enhancements. According to metaobjects: metaobject releases version 1.1 of BookLightning, the lightweight imposition program for booklets and simple magazines Version 1.1 uses our newest EGOS engine to dramatically improve performance to the point where conversion is instantaneous for most files. Furthermore, the switch to EGOS for PDF generation removes some Quartz incompatibilities that had cropped up in Panther. BookLightning still allows you to easily create booklets for stapling or folding from any PDF file. You can find more information about the BookLightning updateat the metaobjects Web site. The BookLightning update is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$49.00.
