Microsoft Releases Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.1.7 Update

Microsoft's Mac Business Unit (MacBU) released Tuesday Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.1.7 Update, a security update for the company's office suite for the Mac. The update was deemed "critical" by the company, and it addresses a fairly serious security issue with the software.

The company's update notes say simply, "This update contains improvements to enhance security and performance. In addition, this update includes fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory with malicious code."
