· by · News

Microsoft released Office 2004 11.5.3 and Office 2008 12.1.5 Tuesday afternoon to address security-related issues in the company's office productivity application suites.

Office 2004 11.5.3 also includes stability and performance fixes, addresses problems with Word and Excel crashing when opening documents, and updated time zone information.

Along with stability and performance improvements, Office 2008 12.1.5 addressed flaws that could let a hacker overwrite your Mac's memory with malicious code, ixed formatting issues in Word 2008, corrected calculation errors in several Excel 2008 formulas, improved reliability when pasting PowerPoint images in Excel documents, and updated time zone information.

Microsoft Office 2004 11.5.3 and Office 2008 12.1.5 are free updates and are available at the Microsoft Mac Web site.

It’s nice to see Mr. Ballmer allows MS to continue to update the Mac Office suites, even though they are crippled, inferior versions of Office for Win-doze!

Perfect… requires the 12.1 update which still stalls on install. Anybody know a workaround?
