mophie announced the immediate availability of an updated version of its juice pack plus that’s compatible with the original iPhone 4 along with the newer Verizon-compatible model. The juice pack plus is an iPhone case with built-in battery charger.

The juice pack plus case offers a 2,000 mAh battery capacity that offers up to twice the run time for an iPhone 4. It extends talk time by up to eight hours, adds up to seven hours of 3G Internet access or 11 hours on Wi-Fi, offers up to 44 hours of audio playback, and 11 hours of video playback.
The case includes a pass-through USB port for charging and syncing, a standby/charging mode switch, charge indicator lights, and more. It is available in black, cyan, magenta, yellow, and for a limited time, purple, too.
The juice pack plus is priced at US$99.95 and is available at the mophie Web site.
