Myst Sequel Riven Comes to the iPhone

· by · Games

Cyan Worlds’ Riven, the sequel to the popular game Myst, is available for the iPhone and iPod touch as of Tuesday. Riven was originally released for the Mac and Windows in the late 1990s, and the new iPhone version faithfully recreates the game play from the original release.

Riven for the iPhone includes all of the original levels, high resolution graphics, the original game’s music and audio effects, auto-save support, in-game hints, and Game Center support.

Riven for the iPhone and iPod touch

Riven clocks in at over a gigabyte, so Cyan Worlds suggests users download it via iTunes and sync to their iOS device instead of directly downloading the game. They also warn that iOS requires 2GB of free space on your iOS device to properly install the game, but that extra space will free up once the installation process completes.

Riven: The Sequel to Myst is priced at US$5.99 and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
