Version 2.1 also added retina display support for the third generation iPad, and improved overall performance. Users can now get Navigon Cockpit as an in-app purchase for viewing speed, G-forge, horizontal and vertical position, altitude and speed as graphs, and more, in a cockpit-like view.

Navigon Cockpit is priced at US$5.99, but is available for $3.99 through July 16.

Navigon USA 2.1 is priced at $29.99 through July 16, then will return to its normal $49.99. For $19.99 users can purchase regional versions of Navigon instead of the full version that includes the entire United States.

The Navigon USA app is available for download at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
