NBC released its own app for the iPad on Friday that offers the network’s broadcast schedule, photo galleries, trivia and games, and social networking features. What it doesn’t include is access to complete shows and instead offers video clips and highlights.

The NBC app stands in sharp contrast to ABC, PBS and HBO, all of which offer full episode streaming in their apps. NBC’s app description does, however, state “full episodes not supported at this time,” hinting that the network could add that option in a future update.
The NBC app is free and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
