Stephen Colbert isn't the only person outside Apple lucky enough to get their hands on an iPad before it ships in March -- assuming a LEGO-build iPad counts, too. Flickr user jmenonemo took the time to build his own iPad to scale with the popular building blocks, and then shared pics of his LEGO iPad online.

According to jmenomeno, it took several hours to build the LEGO iPad, and it matches the real thing's dimensions as closely as possible. The mock up even includes a removable front surface, so the home screen icons can be swapped out, too.

There's no word on whether or not the LEGO iPad supports 3G.
