Apple has been issued building permits for the second floor location in the mall, so remodeling the space can begin any time.

The original Charlotte Apple Store is about 16 miles away in SouthPark. Also nearby, at 30 miles away, is the company’s mysterious North Carolina data center.

Apple’s new store will occupy the mall space formerly used by Arden B.
