Apple’s third generation iPad is launching in 13 Latin American countries on Friday, May 11, and in seven Middle Eastern countries on May 12.
Argentina, Aruba, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Curacao, Ecuador, French Guina, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Martinique, and Peru are all set for Friday iPad launches. Botswana, Cambodia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malta, Mauritius, Morocco, Taiwan, Tunisia, and Vietnam are on the May 11 launch list, too.
Third generation iPad hits more countries this weekend
On May 12, the third generation iPad will be available in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates.
Apple reported selling 11.8 million iPads during its second fiscal quarter, and that over 365 million iOS devices had been sold since the first iPhone was launched. “Combining iPhone, iPod, and iPod touch, we surpassed 365 million cumulative iOS sales, with more than 50 million in the March quarter,” Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer said.
