New iPad Launch Event Pics from Flat Iron Crossing

| News

Apple launched its new iPad on Friday at 8:00 AM local, and Jeff Gamet was on hand at the Flat Iron Crossing Apple Store, bright eyed and bushy tailed. He found about a hundred people in line, the first of whom began lining up at 6:00 PM on Thursday night, and he took a few pics to show us what it was all about, including a couple of side by side images of the iPad 2 and the new iPad.

First up, we have the new store front Apple is using to promote the new iPad. These serve as “after” pics for the set up photos we published earlier on Friday.

Apple had plenty of inventory on hand for launch, and this Apple Store was able to work through the line is very little time.

Comparing the Retina Display on the new iPad to the display on the iPad 2 is difficult to do with photographs, but the image below shows the same two icons, and the clarity and sharpness of the new iPad is evident.
