New SSD Drive Sleds for Mac Pro from Trans Intl

Trans Intl announced the immediate availability of Pro Sled for 3.5” and 2.5” SATA/SAS & SSD Hard drives. These new Mac Pro SSD sleds allow users to easily swap drives for the Mac Pro.

Drives can be assigned and labeled for different clients, projects or backup and then easily swapped via the hard disk drive sleds. Once the drives are mounted on the Pro Sled they will plug directly into the Mac Pro. No power or data cables required.

Pro Sled begins are available from US$29 and are available through the Trans International Web site.

Do not assume that these are going to match the OEM drive sled, I ordered one and it is made of steel and has a very different finish from Apple’s own. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Way overpriced for a piece of bent metal and four off-the-shelf screws from the hardware store. No rubber grommets like Apples. I would not purchase again, I’d rather spend the extra few dollars and get Apple’s OEM sled.
