Praise be to NewerTech! The company announced Thursday the NewerTech Wireless Aluminum Keypad, a companion numeric keypad that goes with, matches, and attaches to Apple's Bluetooth keyboard. The company said it worked with accountants to get the "key-throw, feel, design, size, and connectivity for maximum number crunching workflow excellence."
NewerTech Wireless Aluminum Keypad
Apple has an aluminum keyboard that includes a numeric keypad, but it's wired, connecting to your Mac via USB. Folks wanting a wireless keyboard from Apple could only get the shortened version that doesn't have a numeric keypad. Why, I ask? WHY?
No matter, because NewerTech saw it as an opportunity. As noted above, the NewerTech Wireless Aluminum Keypad matches the look and feel of Apple's keyboard, but it also attaches to it with an included bracket. This is what it looks like when attached:

The numeric keypad retails for US$54.95, making it almost as expensive as the $69 Apple Wireless Keyboard—for those who need a keypad, however, the price will be irrelevant.
