HERE Maps offers coverage for about 200 countries, includes basic map and satellite views, shows current traffic conditions, includes a feature that saves maps and locations for offline viewing, and more. It includes native iPhone and iPad interfaces, too.

HERE Maps is free and is available at Apple's iTunes-based App Store -- and unlike Google, Nokia has delivered an alternative to Apple's Maps app.
