NEW YORK, NY — At last week’s PDN PhotoPlus Expo show, onOne Software announced the upcoming release of Perfect Photo Suite 5.5, seven products that solve the most common problems one may run into when using major graphics packages to edit images. Mike Wong, VP of Marketing, gave TMO an overview of the package.

onOne’s Photo Tools

The Perfect Photo Suite products are Perfect Resize 7, to resize images; Mask Pro 4, to remove unwanted backgrounds; PhotoTune 3, to color correct photos; FocalPoint 2, to set the focus in images; PhotoTools 2.6, to add professional quality effects to photos; PhotoFrame 4.6, to frame and border effects to photos; and Perfect Layers, to add layers to Lightroom and Aperture. New in version 5.5 is the ability to run Perfect Resize, PhotoTune, FocalPoint, PhotoTools and PhotoFrame as standalone applications. PhotoTools and Mask Pro, as well as the aforementioned tools, can be run under Photoshop, Lightroom or Aperture. A public preview of Perfect Layers will be available in December, with a release planned for March 2011.

Perfect Photo Suite 5.5 can be pre-ordered now with special pricing of US$399.95 until November 4th, and $499.95 after that. Plug-In Suite 5 will be delivered now, with a free upgrade to Perfect Photo Suite 5.5 in December.
