OWC announced Thursday the addition of a 1TB version of its Mercury On-The-Go line of portable external FireWire 800/400 and/or USB 2.0 hard drives. As with other sizes of this drive, the 1TB Mercury On-The-Go model is bus powered, based on a 2.5" drive, and is therefore small enough to be carted around without too much hassle.
The company is offering the device in three configurations:
- "Triple Interface" with FireWire 800/400 and USB 2.0 connectivity, $359.99 MSRP
- "Combo Interface" with FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 connectivity, $329.99 MSRP
- USB 2.0 only connectivity, $299.99 MSRP
It is available for pre-order on OWC's Web site now, and will ship October 15th.
