OWC Ships 8GB RAM Upgrades for Unibody Mac mini

· by · Product News

Other World Computing announced the immediate availability of memory upgrade kits for Apple’s new aluminum unibody Mac mini on Thursday. The company is offering user-installable kits that bring the Mac mini’s total RAM capacity up to 6GB or 8GB.

Both kits include PC-8500 DDR3 1066MHz memory chips, and OWC noted that its 6GB upgrade option is a configuration Apple doesn’t offer through its build-to-order service.

The 4GB module is priced at US$149.99 and brings the Mac mini up to a maximum of 6GB RAM. The 8GB kit includes two 4GB modules and is priced at $295.99.

Both are available at the Mac Sales Web site.
