OWC Unveils 12TB Mercury Elite-AL Pro RAID

Other World Computing announced the immediate availability of its new 12TB Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2 RAID storage system on Wednesday. The RAID system includes support for multiple interfaces as well as support for several RAID settings.

Mercury Elite Pro RAID, now with 12TB storage

The 12TB Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2 includes four hot swappable 3TB hard drives with 300MB/s data transfer rates, FireWire 800 and 400 interfaces, eSATA support, and USB 2.0 support. It works with RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, includes a key lock to prevent drive removal, ships with cables for all supported interfaces, and is enclosed in a brushed metal case that matches Apple’s industrial designs.

The 12TB Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2 is priced starting at US$479.99 without drives, and tops out at $2,219.99 with 12TB of storage pre-installed. It is available at the MacSales Web site.
