Parallels Desktop Adds Lion Install Support

Parallels announced the immediate availability of Parallels Desktop 7 for the Mac version 7.0.15050 on Wednesday. The update for the virtual machine application for running multiple operating systems at the same time on the Mac added the ability to install OS X Lion with Apple’s own installation app.

The update also added support for Ubuntu 11.10, improved full-screen viewing support, improved non-English keyboard support, improved Linux imports from PCs to the Mac, and more.

Parallels Desktop is well known for its ability to let Mac users run Windows and Windows apps while running OS X. It also supports running other operating systems along side OS X.

Parallels Desktop 7 is priced starting at US$79.99, and the update is available for free for version 7 users.
